Tennis Pro Shop, Services, & Staff

Detached from the Clubhouse, a well-stocked Tennis Pro Shop is located just behind Highland's aquatics facility.  Conveniently accessible to and from the golf and tennis facilities, the second level of the Clubhouse houses men’s and women’s locker rooms.  Wood lockers, a sauna, steam bath, exercise equipment, and a large stock of toiletries and supplies are provided for both men and women.  Food and beverage facilities are also located adjacent to the tennis courts for the convenience of both players and spectators.

Inside the newly renovated Tennis Pro Shop, tennis enthusiasts can find nearly everything they might need to enjoy the game!  Your one-stop-shop, we offer tennis lessons for players at every level—from beginner to advanced.  Our Tennis Pro Shop Staff is trained to assist players with planning private or group lessons, finding partners to play with, and organizing tournaments.  Time to replace the strings or grip on your current equipment?  Racquet care and repair services are also offered by the Pro Shop!

Meet the Pros

Kyle Wartick

Director of Tennis

Kyle Wartick is no stranger to the Southwest Missouri tennis scene. Prior to joining the Highland Springs team in January 2023, Kyle served as Head Tennis Professional at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield for 15 years. Previously he served as Director of Tennis at the private Lake Region Yacht & Country Club in Winterhaven, Florida for 11 years. A Joplin native, Kyle played tennis at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK and is still a die-hard Cowboys fan! Kyle is married to Amy with two sons, Beck & Finn.

To earn a High Performance Tennis Coach credential, Kyle coached US Open Champion Sloan Stevens & Nicole Gibbs for two weeks in Los Angeles, CA. His dream opponent is Stephen Edburg - his favorite tennis player growing up! Kyle began playing tennis at age 6. His childhood best friend spent lots of time at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin, where the friend's father was the tennis pro. He was shaped by the influence of the pros and the welcoming atmosphere of the tennis pro shop which is something he hopes to build here at Highland Springs. He has an "Open Door Policy: welcoming kids to come hang out, do homework, and watch tennis on TV just like he did as a kid!

Finn Wartick

Head Tennis Professional

Finn took his first steps on a clay court, leaving the tiniest prints on the court. His passion for the game of tennis is undeniable. At the young age of 8 Finn had a contract with Prince tennis racquets as a brand ambassador. He is a former nationally ranked junior. Finn is a Glendale High School graduate and was names the O-Zone Tennis Athlete of the Year. He enjoys teaching juniors no matter the level of experience. As an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan, Finn's dream pickleball opponent is Travis Kelce.
