Q. What is the difference between a Macha (Associate) Membership and a Social Membership?
A. The Macha Membership is for ages 21 to 40 and includes golfing privileges. The Social Membership includes all ages and allows golfing privileges 6 times a year – 3 in season and 3 out of season. Since this is not a golf membership, the member pays the guest fee. Social Members who are ages 21 to 40 can attend Macha social gatherings. Both memberships include dining, swimming and tennis privileges.
Q. Is there a food minimum in addition to the dues?
A. Yes, the food minimum is $40.
Q. Is the food minimum charged monthly or quarterly?
A. It is charged monthly with the exception of January when there is not a charge.
Q. Are there any assessments?
A. No. As long as Mr. Hammons owns the Club, the members do not have to pay any assessments.
Q. How long does it take to become a member once your application has been submitted?
A. Your application has to be in the office at least 15 days prior to final approval by the Board of Directors. The Board usually meets the 4th Friday of the month. Once your application has been submitted, you will be allowed temporary privileges until approved.
Q. Do you have to be sponsored by a member and what if you do not know anyone?
A. Yes, you need two sponsors that are club members. If you do not know any of the members, we will set you up an appointment with two members that are on our membership committee for an interview.
Q. How does it work if you are a Tower Club Member already?
A. You will retain your membership that you have at the Tower Club and charge to that number when using their club and when using Highland Springs you will charge to the number that we give you here. You will no longer be charged monthly dues and monthly food minimums at the Tower Club.
Q. What activities do you have for children?
A. We have many activities – Children’s Buffet with Magic Show, Children’s Valentine Cookie Decorating & Lunch, Children’s Buffet w/Mad Science Show, Easter Brunch with Egghunt w/the Easter Bunny, several Poolside Kid’s Buffet and movie nights, Kid’s campout, 4th of July Picnic, Fishing Rodeo & Fireworks, Haunted Hayride/House with Children’s Buffet & Costume Party, Children’s Gingerbread House Decorating Party, Visit from Santa and every Thursday night we have a Children’s Buffet every Thursday in the Mixed Grille.
Q. How many members do you have?
A. We have approximately 675 total members.
Q. How often do you have membership promotions?
A. We usually have one the 1st of the year and occasionally during the year.
