"...I first looked at this land and envisioned Missouri's premier golf course. With that in mind, I sought out – and obtained – the best in the business."

— John Q. Hammons

The Course

The best in the business, Robert Trent Jones II, succeeded in creating a golf course that exemplifies the Ozarks.  Jones utilized the Dogwood, Elm, Maple, and Walnut trees found on the property to produce a course with rolling hills, local foliage, and streams that flow across the land.  This setting became a course that measures 7,115 from the longest tees for a par 72.

The fairways and tee boxes utilize sodded Zoysia leading to A-1/A-4 Bentgrass greens.  If golfers veer too far off the hole they will be greeted with a rough mixture of fescue, bluegrass, rye grass, or one of over seventy sand and grass bunkers.  Water hazards on seven holes can also prove to be an obstacle along the journey.  All 18 holes are linked by a paved cart path, and cart tunnels accented with stonework have been constructed to eliminate grade crossing on the entrance road.

Practice Facilities

Looking to shave a few strokes off your game?
Highland Springs also offers practice facilities for every player to hone their game.  The facilities feature a chipping green and bunker right next door to our driving range with dual tees and a meticulously manicured putting green.  All practice facilities are a short golf cart trip away from Hole No. 1, allowing golfers to get loose before starting a round.

Grounds Maintenance

Under the watchful eye of our Grounds Superintendent, Highland Springs Country Club is continuously thought to be one of the best-conditioned facilities in the Ozarks, which just may be the best kept secret in Southwest Missouri.
